Authorizing the proper city officials to apply for a State Deed for a parcel of tax-forfeited land through the Ramsey County Tax-Forfeited Lands Division.

WHEREAS, the following parcel of land: 1901 Maryland Avenue East (Property ID No: 23.29.22.34.0157), legally described as:
Parcel A:
Lot 14, Block 3, Hazel Park Division No. 8, St. Paul, Minnesota, Ramsey County, Minnesota
Parcel B:
That part of Furness Street (formerly Minneapolis, St. Paul Suburban Railway Right-of-Way) adjoining Lot 14, Block 3, Hazel Park Division No. 8, that lies Northerly of the Southerly line of said Block 3 and westerly of a line drawn from the northeasterly corner of said Lot 14 to a point on the southerly line of said Block 3 that is 18.27 feet, as measured along said southerly line, easterly of the southeasterly corner of said Lot 14, Ramsey County, Minnesota
(the “Parcel”), is tax-forfeited land held in trust by the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, through its Department of Parks and Recreation, desires to acquire the Parcel for use as a trail realignment and trailhead, and obtain a State Deed for the Parcel through the Ramsey County Tax-Forfeited Lands Division; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby authorize the proper city officials to obtain the Parcel for the stated use, and at a cost to the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation of $319.62 ($69.62 to Ramsey County, $250.00 to the Minnesota Commissioner of Revenue), said sum to be charged to Account Code: 1-26241100-69505-4126213000-69505.
