Appeal of Greg Lehman to a Vacant Building Registration Notice and Fire Certificate of Occupancy Revocation Notice at 839 FOURTH STREET EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in person at 1:30 PM

Purpose of Appeal:  Appealing for my certificate of occupancy. Jane Prince was suppose to get a hold of me and discuss what we were going to do about my heater not having a cover. She never got a hold of me to discuss what to do about the heater cover. Then I got a letter in the mail for the corrections. A reinspection would be done on Sept. 5th, 2023. I did call the fire inspector and told him my predictment. That the heater still has not been fixed. (cover) I wanted to reschedule so I could speak with Jane Prince. But they refused to reschedule

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Greg Lehman to a Vacant Building Registration Notice and Fire Certificate of Occupancy Revocation Notice at 839 Fourth Street East, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive vacant building fee for 120 days to January 15, 2024 or deadline established in Building Code appeal determination; grant to December 1, 2023 for compliance with items 4 and 7 of the September 12, 2023 orders; grant to December 1, 2023 for compliance with item 1 in orders or appeal to Building Official for item one. The remaining items have been abated; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
