Accepting the invitation for the Chief of Police and Senior Commander to attend the Blueprint for Safety presentation in Ireland November 28 through December 3, 2017. (To be withdrawn.)

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, Chief of Police and a Senior Commander have been asked to assist Haven Horizons and the National Garda Protective Services Bureau (NGPSB) of Ireland to provide instruction at the Blueprint for Safety presentation scheduled November 28 through December 3, 2017 in Ireland; and
WHEREAS, the intent of the trip is to assist these organizations to be the first international site to adapt and implement the Saint Paul Blueprint for Safety as an Irish National Blueprint for Safety; and
WHEREAS, the travel costs including flight, local travel, lodging and meals will be covered by the host, Haven Horizons, with an approximate total cost of $5,600; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves this travel to Ireland and the donated travel expenses from Haven Horizons.
