Approving the sub lease for the Office of Neighborhood Safety.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City") is entering into a 3 year sub lease agreement (the "Lease") between The Rondo Community Land Trust a Minnesota nonprofit corporation (“Landlord”) and The City of St. Paul (“Tenant”). Landlord is a tenant of the real property located at 1041 Selby Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55104, for a premises comprising 7385 square feet of rentable office space ("Leased Premises") to house the operations of the City's Office of Neighborhood Safety ("ONS"); and
WHEREAS, the sub lease retroactively commenced on May 1, 2023 and will terminate on April 30, 2026, and ONS has determined that it wishes to occupy the Leased Premises for its operations as detailed in Exhibit A (“the Sub Lease”); and
WHEREAS, the City and Landlord mutually agree to favorable rental rates and pro-rated operation expenses; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council hereby authorize the proper city officials to execute the Sub Lease attached hereto as Exhibit A and a three year extension if ONS desires.
