WHEREAS on February 19, 2025, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. AR 24-108 to ratified the assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during July 25, 2023 to June 19, 2024. (File No. VB2504, Assessment No. 258803); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 840 Van Buren Avenue, being described as: Avon Street Addition to the City of Saint Paul Lot 10, with the property identification number 35-29-23-0064 was assessed an amount of $2618; and

 

WHEREAS, Catherine Phillips reached out to our office after receiving the invoice to appeal this fee because she indicated she had been in communication with DSI staff continuously about the rehabilitation and because of the fire, staff stated that they will continue to waive vacant building if continued progress is made; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer will review this on April 2, 2025 Legislative Hearing to determine her recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $2618, plus any accrued interests, be forthcoming.
