Accepting the gift of a Phillips Heart Start Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”) for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation at Como Lakeside Pavilion/Como Dockside.

WHEREAS, John Provo and Susan Vanderburg, approached the City of St. Paul Department of Parks and Recreation about a donation of a Phillips Heart Start Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”), to be placed the Como Lakeside Pavilion/Como Dockside, valued at $1,200.00; and
WHEREAS, most occurrences of Sudden Cardiac Arrest occur in public places and AED’s can help increase the chances of survival when Cardiac Arrest occurs; and
WHEREAS, after a review of current facility amenities the Department of Parks and Recreation believes that an AED would be an appropriate addition to the Como Lakeside Pavilion/Como Dockside; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the donation of a Phillips Heart Start AED and thanks John Provo and Susan Vanderburg for their generous gift.
