Amending Council File RES 25-1920 to acknowledge that in order for the Saint Peter Street clear zone variance to be granted, a list of all applicable locations that the clear zone variance applies to will need to be provided to MnDOT.

WHEREAS, on December 17, 2025 the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RES 25-1920 which requested a variance from Minnesota Department of Transportation Municipal State Aid Rules for a reduced clear zone requirement during the reconstruction of Saint Peter Street from 10th Street to 11th Street; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to add a Resolved statement that during design, and before final plan approval, a station and offset to the signs and streetlights adjacent to the bikeway that meet the minimum of 1 foot shoulder/clear zone, but do not meet the minimum 2 foot shoulder/clear zone requirement of Minnesota Administrative Rule for State Aid Operation 8820.9995 MINIMUM OFF-ROAD AND SHARED USE PATH STANDARDS on Saint Peter Street between 10th Street and 11th Street will be developed and will be provided to the Commissioner of Transportation before a variance request approval is granted; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that all other provisions of RES 25-1920, as amended, remain in full force and effect; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that Council File No. RES 25-1920 is hereby amended to reflect these changes.
