Appeal of Mark Younghans to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 147 SYCAMORE STREET EAST.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, May 5, 2020, teleconference between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: Appealing the ceiling height requirement for the attic bedrooms. Attic was already finished when home was purchased in 2012. Attic was in use as bedrooms when we had our last inspection 5 or 6 years ago. Attic has always been used as bedrooms. This family has rented the place since 5/1/2017 and they need the bedrooms and space for their family.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Mark Younghans to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 147 SYCAMORE STREET EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to September 1, 2020 to receive variance from Building Official for attic bedroom(s) to be used as sleeping rooms, or rooms must cease to be used as sleeping rooms; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
