Title

Approving the addition of a Gambling on Location license to the existing Liquor License On sale - 100 seats or less; Liquor On Sale - Sunday, Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk) and Entertainment (A) licenses for Barrio Holdings, LLC d/b/a Barrio Tequila bar (License ID# 20110001529) for the premises located at 235 6th Street East.

Body

WHEREAS, Barrio Holdings LLC, d/b/a Barrio Tequila Bar (License ID #20110001529), applied for a Gambling Location License on November 3, 2023, to add to their existing licenses, including Liquor On Sale-100 seats or less, Liquor On Sale-Sunday, Entertainment (A), and Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Sidewalk); and

WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification on November 3, 2023, with a response date of December 22, 2023; and

WHEREAS, in response to the notification, no objections were received, and the Council finds that the application is in order with no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it; and

RESOLVED, a Gambling Location License is hereby approved and issued to Barrio Holdings LLC, d/b/a Barrio Tequila Bar (License ID #20110001529), for the premises located at 235 6th Street East in Saint Paul, with the following existing license conditions but with no new license conditions:

1.                     Sidewalk seating approved for a maximum of thirty (30) seats.

2.                     Each year prior to the placement of table(s) and/or chair(s) in the public right-of-way (i.e., sidewalk), the licensee agrees to obtain a new Obstruction Permit from the Department of Public Works.

3.                     Licensee agrees to take appropriate action(s) to ensure that the sale, display, and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages are contained within the defined area as per the approved sidewalk seating plan on file with DSI.
