Authorizing a professional services contract with MZA+Co for lobbying services related to Community First Police Reform.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code §45.03 requires that all contracts for lobbying activities be first authorized by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor’s Office wishes to contract with MZA+Co to provide legislative lobbying for Community-First Police Reform for a stronger, safer Saint Paul, reducing gun violence and other public safety items that the City supports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the scope of services indicated above is consistent with the City’s state legislative agenda; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the appropriate City officials to enter into a professional services agreement with MZA+Co .
