Pertaining to a lease agreement with Ramsey County allowing for the continuation of Public Safety Communication equipment at the Sterling Water Tower located at 645 South Sterling Street in Maplewood.

WHEREAS, Ramsey County desires to lease space from the Board of Water Commissioners on its Sterling Water Tower at 645 Sterling Street in the City of Maplewood to continue operation of an 800 MHz wireless Public Safety Communication System; and
WHEREAS, staff prepared a Lease Agreement which provides the space at no cost, and which provides a 5-year term that automatically renews for three additional 5-year terms; and
WHEREAS, the assistant city attorney has reviewed said Lease Agreement and has approved it as to form; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Lease Agreement between the Board of Water Commissioners and Ramsey County allowing the continued operation of an 800 MHz wireless Public Safety Communication System at the Board’s Sterling Tower site is hereby approved in substantially the form submitted, and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Lease Agreement on behalf of the Board.
