Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of $1,000, from the North End Improvement Club, to be used for the annual Halloween party at McDonough Recreation Center.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation, through recreation centers and programs, offers many events, classes, and activities for youth and families in the City of Saint
Paul; and
WHEREAS, the North End Improvements Club is a non-profit in the North End focused on supporting the North End Neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the North End Improvement Club wishes to donate $1,000 for use in 2026 to enhance youth programming within the City of Saint Paul at McDonough Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, funding will be used to support youth programming at McDonough Recreation Center, and in particular, the McDonough Recreation Center Halloween party; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said donation for the McDonough Halloween party; and
WHEREAS, there is no required match of these funds by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this cash donation has a public purpose; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept said $1,000 from the North End Improvement Club to support Recreation Services programming, and thanks them for their generous donation.
