Authorizing the City to enter into a Department of Energy Federal Subgrant Agreement with the Rocky Mountain Institute to examine the cost and benefits of electric vehicle carshare, as well as the most effective business and economic models for electric vehicle carshare viability in communities outside the Twin Cities Metro.
Body
WHEREAS, Council Resolution 23-1300 authorized the Department of Public Works to participate as a subrecipient in an application for grant funding and to accept the award of funds; and
WHEREAS, the Rocky Mountain Institute is named as the prime recipient and the City of Saint Paul is a sub-awardee to the Rocky Mountain Institute; and
WHEREAS, funds awarded through this opportunity will allow for examination of project successes and lessons learned to-date, and the deliverables will aid in information sharing about Evie Carshare, to support on-going growth and awareness of the program; and
WHEREAS, there is not a local match requirement for sub-awardees, and the City’s subaward would be $62,500 over 24 months beginning at the date of contract finalization; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into this agreement with the Rocky Mountain Institute, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
