Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation in the amount of $8,821.85 from the North Dale Booster Club.

WHEREAS, the North Dale Booster club is a non-profit organization that promoted youth programming at North Dale Recreation Center for 40+ years; and
WHEREAS, due to the North Dale Booster Club ceasing operations, they wish to donate remaining funds, in the amount of $8,821.85, to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to accept said monetary donation from the North Dale Booster Club to use for programming at North Dale Recreation Center for youth ages under 18 years of age; and
WHEREAS, the donation, if accepted, will be used for programming at North Dale Recreation center for youth 18 and under; and
WHEREAS, there is no required match of these funds by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council finds that the donation of this gift to support programming at North Dale Recreation center has a public purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recognizes and thanks the North Dale Booster Club for their 40+ years of service promoting youth programming at North Dale Recreation Center; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept said donation from the North Dale Booster Club and thanks them for their generous donation.
