Approving a second six-month extension of the lease for the Department of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity RiverPrint space at 375 Jackson Street.

WHEREAS, on January 1, 2012 the City of Saint Paul ("City") entered into a seven-year lease agreement (the "Lease") with 375 Jackson Courtly, LLC and 375 Jackson Willow, LLC ("Landlord"), owner of the property at 375 Jackson Street, Saint Paul, for a premises comprising 5,800 square feet of rentable office and printshop space to house the operations of the City's RiverPrint function of the Department of Human Rights & Equal Economic Opportunity; and
WHEREAS, the Lease expired on December 31, 2018 and was extended by the City Council for one additional year ending on December 31, 2019, at the original lease rate of $9.00 per square foot; and
WHEREAS, the Lease extension expired on December 31, 2019 and was extended by the City Administration (via AO 19-59) for six months ending on June 30, 2020, at the original lease rate of $9.00 per square foot; and
WHEREAS, the City and Landlord have agreed to a second six-month extension of the term of the Lease through December 31, 2020, at the original lease rate of $9.00 per square foot, as shown on the attached Third Amendment to Lease; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDERED, that said Third Amendment to Lease is hereby approved and the proper city officials are authorized to execute same.
