Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $1,700 for a grant received from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce for health and wellness equipment for the firefighters at Fire Station 23.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has applied for and received a grant of $1,700 from the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce for health and wellness equipment for Fire Station 23; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department received approval to apply for this grant on Resolution 24-253 on February 21, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to purchase health and wellness equipment for firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the spending and financing plans have not been established for the grant received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $1,700 in excess of those estimated in the 2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the addition as specified in the attachment "Chamber of Commerce Station 23 Financial Analysis $1,700" be made to the 2024 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the grant from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and approves the changes to the 2024 budget.
