Approving a two-year lease between the City of Saint Paul and the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the City's use of vacant MnDOT property in downtown Saint Paul for use as a pet exercise area.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation ("State"), owns a parcel of vacant land located east of Broadway Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street, and depicted in the attached Exhibit A ("Premises"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City") desires to lease the Premises for the purpose of providing a pet exercise area, to allow members of the public to use the area for exercise of licensed, unleashed pets; and
WHEREAS, the State has agreed to lease the Premises to the City, and the parties have agreed upon the terms and conditions of such lease, as detailed in the attached Exhibit B ("Pet Exercise Area Lease"), and approved by the Office of the City Attorney; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves the Pet Exercise Area Lease, in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit B, and authorizes the proper city officials to execute the same.
