Appeal of Andrew and Diane McFarland to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 211 STEVENS STREET WEST.

Purpose of Appeal: At time of fire inspection, the property was not owner occupied and a Certificate of Occupancy had been requested. I have now moved into the building and my property (duplex) is now owner occupied. The deficiency list is no longer valid as a certificate of occupancy is no longer required. If the list is still valid, then exterior work cannot be done by Jan. 4. Also, removing the stove, refrigerator, and capping off the sink is unreasonable. The area will be used as storage, "man cave", and rec room.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Andrew and Diane McFarland to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 211 STEVENS STREET WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to February 8, 2019 for compliance with the interior repairs and grant to July 1, 2019 for the exterior repairs. including the 2nd floor deck which is condemned and must not be used, noting repair must be done under permit; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
