WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) is seeking authority to pay for related travel expenses which include airfare, lodging, meals, etc. for Audrey Liquard of the Saint Paul Intervention Project, who is not a city employee, to attend a Domestic Violence Response and Investigations: Special Issues for Law Enforcement Conference sponsored by Battered Womens Justice Project (BWJP) from March 14 - 16, 2011 in San Diego, California; and
WHEREAS, the SPPD was awarded the First Light, Accountability, Response and Enforcement United with Prosecution (FLARE-UP) Grant to focus on chronic offenders and victims safety; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this training is to enhance Law Enforcement personnel's response to domestic and sexual violence and to conduct one segment at the conference on Saint Paul's Blueprint for Safety; and
BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city official(s) are hereby ordered to pay for the above mentioned expenses not to exceed $1271.01.
