12/17/2025 5:11 PMJordan   I am horrified and outraged by violations of the separation ordinance by the St. Paul Police Department. Indiscriminate pepper spraying, tear g***ing, firing of non-lethal projectiles, and other forms of crowd control at ICE operations are clear violations of the separation ordinance and frighten concerned St. Paul residents. It also lets us know exactly whom our municipal police serve and whose interests they protect; it becomes clearer at each operation that they are not those of the working people or taxpaying residents of this city whose hard earned wages fund their bloated department. The city council must hold the police department accountable for their actions with a clear, unanimous public condemnation of the violations and a reduction in the department's budget.
