Authorizing the City to enter into a joint powers agreement with Ramsey County Geographic Information Systems for governmental units interested in using geographic systems and data created and maintained by Ramsey County.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Office of Technology and Communications wishes to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County Geographic Information Systems; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to enable the Users Group to represent the parties to this Agreement for the purposes of undertaking negotiations and transactions; and
WHEREAS, the agreement allows governmental units interested in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to access data created and maintained by Ramsey County; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and authorizes the Office of Technology and Communications to implement the attached Joint Powers Agreement with the Members of the Ramsey County Geographic Information Systems User Group.
