WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 23-1244 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during the time period of July 7, 2022 to April 19, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on January 10, 2024 (re-noticed to January 17, 2024) to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statutes and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified with the exception of the following amendments which will be considered separately:
RLH TA 23-346: 606 Charles Avenue;
RLH TA 23-342: 276 Exchange Street South;
RLH TA 23-345: 1235 Minnehaha Avenue East;
RLH TA 23-352: 733 Thomas Avenue;
RLH TA 23-347: 820 White Bear Avenue North;
RLH TA 24-XX: 571 Van Buren Avenue - delete for separate consideration; refer to February 6, 2024 Legislative Hearing;
RLH TA 24-XX: 171 Granite Street- delete for separate consideration; refer to February 6, 2024 Legislative Hearing; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the assessments be payable in one (1) installment, unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments.
