Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of Basic Animal Rescue Training (BART) and small animal emergency response kits from the Grand Avenue Veterinary Center.

WHEREAS, the Grand Avenue Veterinary Center has offered to donate Basic Animal Rescue Training (BART) for 20 firefighters and provide small animal emergency response kits valued at $975.00 to the Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept this donation from the Grand Avenue Veterinary Center, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide the firefighters with basic animal rescue training and emergency response kits to use to rescue small animals in emergency situations, and
NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept this donation of BART training and small animal emergency response kits from the Grand Avenue Veterinary Center and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
