Authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with Ramsey County for Right of Way acquisition related to the reconstruction of Rice Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to Wheelock Parkway.
Body
WHEREAS, Ramsey County plans to reconstruct Rice Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to Wheelock Parkway; and
WHEREAS, this project requires right of way (“ROW”) acquisition; and
WHEREAS, the County’s cost participation policy requires the City to finance 50% of the ROW costs within the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the ROW acquired under this agreement will be owned and maintained by Ramsey County; and
WHEREAS, the agreement contains a mutual indemnification clause, which the Council finds reasonable and appropriate; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PW2023-14, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
