Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): We never received initial notification of this service. I made multiple calls to resolve this with the city and the hauling service who both referred me to the other another line - essentially in an endless communication referral loop. The house is currently unoccupied and under renovation, therefore no collection of garbage is needed by the city/local garbage hauler at this time. Upon sale of this property later this year the new owner will work with the city to establish a relationship with the appropriate garbage hauler. Until that time we wish to have the service suspended until the sale of the property has been completed.
Staff Comments: The property owner contacted the City on 2/13/19 after receiving the 2nd Notice of Non-Payment. The City placed a vacancy hold on the property starting 3/1/19. The property is still responsible for paying the Q1 2019 bill. He will receive a refund of amount overpaid (3/1/19 - 3/31/19) when the property is sold.
