Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): I have had commerical trash service at this location for over 20 years. Advanced disposal currently provides trash service. They (Advanced Disposal) has picke dup trash on 11/18. I have spoke with Daniel Schleck, or Messerli & Kramer who is the attorney for the trash consortium. This includes Advanced Disposal and Republic Services. I have explained to him the situation and he indicated the City os Saint Paul is responsible for cancelling all existing contracts and that the new contract cannot be enforced until the old one is cancelled. I ask that the bill for Republic Services be eradicated or paid for by the City of Saint Paul. Furthermore, there was a commerical contract in place and republic services has never picked up any trash. There was a commercial dumpster contract in place and Republic Services has never picked up any trash. There was a commerical dumpster that the residents have been using. The trash bins were not on my property line.
Staff Comments: Due to the property having a total of four residential dwelling units, it is reqired to particpate in the coordinated collection program. Residencehad a total of four 64 gallon carts during Quarter 3 2019 and is therefore responsible for paying for the services provided. Staff recommends approving the assessment.
