Authorizing the Police Department's expenditures relating to the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit’s community engagement meetings and multi-agency Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) meetings and events in 2025.
Body
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit participates in multi-jurisdictional law enforcement trainings and event coordination meetings throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit hosts community engagement meetings and events throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose is to foster the department’s commitment to service with purpose in the community and partner agencies; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Police Department is requesting authorization to expense food, beverage, and admittance costs for officers that are required to be in attendance, to the Police 2025 General Fund budgets; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the 2025 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $2,500 to cover these expenses.
