Title

Authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for federal funding to lease electric vehicles for the Twin Cities Electric Vehicle Mobility Network (Evie Carshare).

Body

WHEREAS, City Council Resolution 22-334 authorized the Department of Public Works to apply for project funds in the 2022 Metropolitan Council Regional Solicitation Program; and 

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has been awarded federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality funding in the amount of $1,440,000; and

WHEREAS, funds awarded through this opportunity will be used to lease vehicles for addition into the Evie Carshare program, focused on supporting the service area expansion on Saint Paul’s East Side; and 

WHEREAS, there is a local match requirement of 20%, which the City agreed to provide at the time of application; and

WHEREAS, MnDOT agreement No. 1052196, which has been executed between the Local City and MnDOT, appoints MnDOT as the City’s agent to receive and disburse transportation related federal funds, and sets forth duties and responsibilities for letting, payment, and other procedures for a federally funded contract let by the City; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT agreement No.1057015, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally

 

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
