Authorizing the Fire Department to apply for a grant of $100,000 for Labor Education Advancement Program (LEAP) from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for the joint apprenticeship training program for firefighters.

WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has a grant opportunity and the Fire Department would like to apply for this grant; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to apply for the Labor Education Advancement Program (LEAP) grant for the joint apprenticeship training program for firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of the grant is $100,000, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the City Council authorizes the Fire Department to apply for this grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
