Ratifying the assessment for Removal of Diseased and/or Dangerous Tree(s) service during December 2024. (File No. 2503T, Assessment No. 259002)

AMENDED 5/14/25
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 25-364 accepted the Report of Completion for Removal of Diseased and/or Dangerous Tree(s) on Private Properties during the month of December 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on May 14, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:
RLH TA 25-187: 81 Magnolia Avenue West;
RLH TA 25-XXX: 588 Forest Street; delete for separate consideration to be heard on May 20, 2025 Legislative Hearing and City Council on June 4, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the assessment will bear an interest rate of 5.95 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 175 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
