Accepting the donation of registration, travel, and lodging expenses from ReConnect Rondo for Councilmember Anika Bowie to attend the Reconnecting Communities Summit 2025 in Washington, D.C. from September 28-29, 2025.

WHEREAS, Anika Bowie, Councilmember, has been invited by ReConnect Rondo to attend the Reconnecting Communities Summit 2025 held in Washington, D.C. September 28-29, 2025; and
WHEREAS, attending the Reconnecting Communities Summit 2025 will serve as an opportunity to engage directly with federal leaders, shape policy, and build alliances that accelerate impact in communities across the country; and
WHEREAS, ReConnect Rondo has offered to donate funds to the City of Saint Paul to cover all expenses related to transportation, hotel reservation, and conference registration for Councilmember Anika Bowie; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. 465.03, the City is allowed to accept, by a resolution adopted by a two-thirds majority of the City Council, a grant or devise of real or personal property in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at the Reconnecting Communities Summit 2025 benefits the City by providing an opportunity for an elected official to engage directly with federal leaders, shape policy, and build alliances that accelerate impact in communities across the country; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of registration, airfare, transportation and hotel expenses from ReConnect Rondo for the Reconnecting Communities Summit 2025 so that Councilmember Anika Bowie may attend, and thanks them for their generosity.
