WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has established itself as a leading city in bold climate action; and
WHEREAS, the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance has invited Climate Action Coordinator Liz Boyer to attend its annual gathering May 4-8 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and to cover the costs of travel, food, and lodging; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at the convening will be beneficial to the City in providing a more profound understanding of approaches to equitable climate action, circular economy, and international best practices for reaching community-wide carbon neutrality; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the gift of up to $5,000 to cover the cost of travel, food, and lodging expenses for Climate Action Coordinator Liz Boyer to attend the May 4-8, 2026 gathering, and thanks the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance for its generous gift.
