Title

Accepting a grant on behalf of the St. Paul Fire Department from the Capitol Region Watershed District to support maintenance of the green roof located at Fire Department Headquarters/Station 1 building and amending SPFD's 2026 financing and spending plans

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department has received a grant from the Capitol Region Watershed District of up to $2,000 annually from 2026 through 2036 for the revitalization and maintenance of the green roof located at Station 1/the Fire Department Headquarters Building located at 645 Randolph Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55102; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Fire Department applying for this grant in Resolution 26-670; and

 

WHEREAS, financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $2,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2026 budget; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the grant from the Capitol Region Watershed District on behalf of the Saint Paul Fire Department and approves the changes to the 2026 budget as specified in the attached financial analysis.
