Accepting a grant from the Metropolitan Council for a Stormwater Master Plan for the Prior-University Redevelopment Area.
Body
WHEREAS, the construction of the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit line creates a unique opportunity to leverage substantial investment for the physical, economic, and social development of the communities along the Central Corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul strives to be a leader in sustainable urban living; and
WHEREAS, the management of stormwater can present technical and financial challenges to redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded funds in the amount of $47,000 to the City of Saint Paul for the purpose of creating a stormwater master plan for the Prior-University redevelopment area; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul does hereby certify that $47,000 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2011 budget and recommends the following changes to the 2011 budget:
