Title

Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation and Libraries to be named as joint partners with Saint Paul Public Schools in their application to the Minnesota Department of Education for 21^st Century Community Learning Center for up to $75,000 a year for program years 2025/26 to 2029/30, with no match requirement.

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is prepared to accept subgrantee funds from Saint Paul Public Schools for partners; and

WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide wages for youth working in summer internships with Right Track; and

WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide enhanced training opportunities for youth working in spring internships with Right Track; and

WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will increase program offerings at Arlington Hills Community Center and Phalen Rec Center; and

WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will be used to further develop a partnership between Saint Paul Public Schools Farnsworth Upper and Lower and Johnson High School with Arlington Hills Community Center and Phalen Rec Center; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation and Libraries to be named as joint partners with Saint Paul Public Schools in their application to the Minnesota Department of Education for 21^st Century Community Learning Center for up to $75,000 a year for program years 2025/26 to 2029/30, with no match requirement.
