Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Property owner called as she put a “hold” for trash pick-up at this address in January but still received a bill for services. She said she completed all the paper work necessary to have services stopped while she was out of the country.
Staff Comments: Hauler confirmed that there was a hold on this property from 1/05/2021 - 4/07/2021. Since the bill had already been generated, Republic stated that they did not remove the invoiced amount. They had provided a credit for 1/05/2021 - 03/31/2021 but stated that they prefer that we just remove the assessment. In that case the hauler would remove the credit on the account for that time period. Since the property owner is contesting the assessment, staff therefore recommends removal.
