Approving the Memorandum of Agreement between the City and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 70, for the purpose of providing premium pay to Saint Paul Regional Water Services employees holding specific licenses in the classifications of Senior Water Operator, Maintenance Worker III and Chemical Feed System Specialist II.

Whereas, the last Labor Agreement and Memorandums of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 70, which was approved by Saint Paul City Council on July 19, 2023, continues in full force and effect through December 31, 2025, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and
Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 70, have reached a tentative agreement on a new Memorandum of Agreement that, once approved, shall become effective the pay period following adoption by the City Council and renew annually; now therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council, pursuant to the Saint Paul City Charter Section 6.03.3 (5), hereby approves and ratifies the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 70.
