Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has received a grant for the development of the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom; and
WHEREAS, the approved classroom development plan was developed by Parks and Recreation working with the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds are a Minnesota Legislative - Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) Grant funded by the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund in the amount of $218,000; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to amend the financing and spending budget for the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $218,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2008 Capital Improvement Budget; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the positive advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $218,000 is available for appropriation in the 2008 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2008 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is here by further amended as follows:
