Title
Appeal of Angela Weber to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 1362 PALACE AVENUE.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, February 9, 2021, teleconference call between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: My dad occupied the home while remodeling until the house fire Feb. 19th, 2020. We were not allowed to do anything with the house until the investigation & insurance were complete. That wasn't done prior to COVID shut downs. Due to the shut downs, everything (find a contractor, getting answers/permits) was very delayed. We were told by various city departments due to COVID we would not be penalized because things were so backed up, and the house could not [be] demolished prior to the 90 days. I did everything in my power to move the process along speedily, but due to the pandemic things were put on hold and then very backed up. The house was not vacant prior to Feb. 19th; the letter I received stated it was vacant starting in December.
