Expanding residential permit parking Area 22.

WHEREAS, residential permit parking was previously instituted on behalf of residents residing in the University of St. Thomas area in accordance with Chapter 164 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul previously found that this residential area did not have sufficient off-street parking to accommodate the parking needs of both the residents and the non-residents using non-residential facilities which lack sufficient off-street parking; and
WHEREAS, the abutting property owners have submitted a valid petition to expand residential permit parking on both sides of Finn Street from Fairmount Avenue to Sargent Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff has investigated the basis for the petition to expand Area 22, concluded and recommended adoption of the requested changes; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the following parking regulations shall be in effect in the residential area near University of St. Thomas:
Except by Permit or unless otherwise posted, No Parking, 8:00AM - 8:00PM, Monday - Friday, Area 22 on the following street:
Both sides of Finn Street from Fairmount Avenue to Sargent Avenue; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that these parking regulations shall be in effect and enforced 30 days after City Council approval or as soon as signs are erected.
