Body
In the Matter of acquiring the property located at 1190 Payne Avenue and 1194 Payne Avenue, Saint Paul, parcel identification numbers 29-29-22-12-0005 and 29-29-22-12-0004, for the public purpose of assembling a portion of the right-of-way necessary to reconstruct and widen Maryland Avenue for the installation of left turn lanes and left turn signals at the Payne Avenue intersection, as indicated on the attached maps and report.
 
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
 
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved, with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $1,540,000, financed by project funds.
 
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 5th of January, 2011, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
 
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
 
Financial Analysis
The acquisition of 1190/1194 Payne Avenue will be financed initially with Municipal State Aid funding budgeted in a 2011 CIB project. Approximately one-half of this funding will subsequently be replaced with Ramsey County monies under an existing agreement between the City and County.
