Authorizing the appropriate City officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding with participating VISTA Sites.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the period of the 2020-2021 VISTA program year, pursuant to which it will act as a Sponsor organization; and
WHEREAS,
• Minnesota Community Care ($1,500 cost share/ 2 VISTAs)
• Saint Paul Public Schools ($4,500 cost share/ 3 VISTAs)
• Minnesota Children's Museum ($1,500 cost-share)
• Lifetrack ($1,500 cost-share)
• Twin Cities Community Agricultural Land Trust ($1,500 cost share)
• Urban Roots ($1,500 cost share)
• Northeast Seniors for Better Living ($1,500 cost share)
• Saint Paul Mayor's Office ($3,000/ 2 VISTAs)
• Office of Financial Empowerment ($1,500)
will be Participating Sites with a VISTA member placed at each Site, and each Participating Site will contribute cost-share funding for the position (as indicated); and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the process and obtain funds from the Participating Sites the City needs to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with each Participating Site; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul supports Saint Paul VISTA Program involvement and authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding as outlined in the attached document.
