Granting municipal consent to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the I-94 Rehabilitation Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MN/DOT) plans to rehabilitate Interstate 94 and its accesses from Nicollet Avenue to Cretin Avenue starting in March 2011, and
WHEREAS, MN/DOT and their consultants have worked with City staff and have conducted multiple public meetings and forums to address City safety and aesthetics concerns and have submitted a final layout to the City for review, comment and municipal consent, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 161.164 requires the City to hold a public hearing prior to providing municipal consent and provide a 30 day notice prior to holding the public hearing and on December 22, 2010, City Council Resolution 10-1603, set the February 2, 2011 Council meeting for the public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City Council held the public hearing and after receiving public input determined that final layout address City safety and aesthetic concerns, and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul grants municipal consent to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the I-94 Rehabilitation Project (S.P. 2781-415).
