Ratifying the assessment for Securing and.or Emergency Boarding services during January to February 2024. (File No. J2410B, Assessment No. 248109)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-764 accepted the Report of Completion for Securing and/or Emergency Boarding of a Structure on Private Properties during the months of January to February 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on August 14, 2024 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2025; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended with the exception of the following amendments which are considered separately:
RLH TA 24-277: 198 Bridlewood Drive;
RLH TA 24-293: 724 Jessamine Avenue East;
RLH TA 24-292: 842 Lafond Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the assessments will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Pail Administrative Code, the assessments are hereby in all respects ratified, except for those assessments considered separately through Legislative Hearing.
