Committing to the completion of the federally funded Twin Cities Electric Vehicle Mobility Network Project.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has been awarded a federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) grant of $4 million for the Twin Cities Electric Vehicle Mobility Network through the Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) regional solicitation in the 2021-2024 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City, recognizing that federally funded projects require mandated federal processes, adding time and additional resources to project delivery, worked with the Metropolitan Council and the Minnesota Department of Transportation to find a mutually agreeable solution to allow phasing of the project; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council commits to deliver all phases of project 164-080-017 in its programmed construction years under the State Aid Process complying with all necessary permits and environmental requirements as a State Aid Project; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul will complete the project, and should all phases of the project not be completed, the City will reimburse the CMAQ funds assigned to the project.
