Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs associated with the Fire District Chief exam which will be administered February 10-14, 2013.
 
Body
Pursuant to the 2013 City Budget, the proper City officials are hereby authorized to remit payment for the Fire District Chief exam expenses not to exceed $5,000.00.  This will pay  for all costs incurred by the Saint Paul Fire Department to administer the Fire District Chief exam on February 10-14, 2013.  The purpose of this exam is to test and promote the best candidates to Fire District Chief and will be conducted with three assessors.  These assessors will be subject matter experts from equitable fire departments in the United States.  The Fire Department shall provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages for the assessors and Human Resources staff involved in the administration of this exam since they are unable to leave the exam location each day.
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
