Pertaining to MnDOT Agreement No. 1062077 with the State of Minnesota providing for water system work in conjunction with State Project No. 6230-33 (T.H. 5).
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, acting by and through its Commissioner of Transportation (the “State”) intends to let a contract for State Project No. 6230-33 (T.H. 5) located on Trunk Highway 5 from McKnight Road East in the city of Saint Paul to Lakewood Drive in the city of Maplewood; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (the “Board”) owns and operates certain water facilities presently located within the limits of said project; and
WHEREAS, Board staff has identified water system improvement work that can be completed more efficiently if the work is done as part of the project and the State has agreed to include it within the scope of the project; and
WHEREAS, the State prepared Agreement No. 1062077 outlining the responsibilities of the State and the Board for completion of such work by the State Contractor at Board cost not to exceed $100,820.53; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed said agreement and recommends approval; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Agreement No. 1062077 between the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul and the State of Minnesota pertaining to water system improvement work within State Project No. 6230-33 (T.H. 5) located on Trunk Highway 5 from McKnight Road East in the city of Saint Paul to Lakewood Drive in the city of Maplewood is hereby approved in substantially the form submitted, and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the Board, following approval of the assistant city attorney.
