Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $50,000 for 2019 Round 2 Cultural STAR Grant funds received for the Rice Park Revitalization Lighting project.
Body
WHEREAS, on December 11, 2019, by Resolution #19-2076, the 2019 Round 2 Cultural Sales Tax Revitalization (STAR) Grant Program project awards went before Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #19-2076 includes approval of a $50,000 Cultural STAR grant to the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy for implementation of the Rice Park Revitalization Lighting project; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy has authorized the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department to act on behalf of the Conservancy; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation agrees to manage and administer said funds for the Rice Park Revitalization Lighting project; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Parks and Recreation to accept said funds and to amend the financing and spending budget for the project in the amount of $50,000; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $50,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $50,000 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2017 budget, as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended.
