Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to give away three (3) Family Swim passes, three (3) Swim Lessons and one (1) Annual Fitness package at recreation center fitness rooms during the Re-Opening Celebration of the recently renovated Highland Park Aquatic Center.

WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation plans to re-open the newly renovated Highland Park Aquatic Center on June 18, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to generate excitement, promote swim safety and fitness during the Grand Re-Opening Celebration of the recently renovated Highland Park Aquatic Center; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to give away three (3) Family Swim Passes ($16.00 each), three (3) Swim Lessons ($55.00 each), and one (1) annual Fitness Package to recreation center fitness rooms and walking tracks ($30.00 each), with a total value $243.00; and
WHEREAS, offering these passes to the public has a public purpose, in that it will promote the Department's mission of recreational opportunities and good health and fitness for the public; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Parks and Recreation is authorized to give away three Family Swim Passes ($16.00), three Swim Lessons ($55.00 each), and one (1) annual Fitness Package to recreation center fitness rooms and walking tracks ($30.00 each). Total value $243.00.
