Authorizing the acceptance of $1,250,000 in total grant funding from the 2026 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Community Project Funding (CPF) federal earmark for the Fire Department's Burn Building Restoration and Reconstruction.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Fire Department applied for and received a grant in the amount of $1,250,000 from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Community Project Funding (CPF) for the Burn Building Restoration and Reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department will use this funding for the Burn Building project; and
WHEREAS, by this Resolution, the City Council authorizes the acceptance of the 2026 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Community Project Funding (CPF) federal earmark and authorizes execution of a grant agreement with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the Fire Department to accept a grant and execute a grant agreement for $1,250,000 for the Burn Building Restoration and Reconstruction.
